What We Offer
PCM was established in April 2009 when it was recognized how difficult and stressful a transition into independence could be for young people leaving care. PCM understands their emotions, often a feeling of being overwhelmed by responsibilities, of being lost or being abandoned. We know what obstacles they may face in their every day lives, so to make this process easier, the PCM team who are trained to deliver the highest standards of care, support, advise, will assist, reassure and motivate our clients whenever required.
- Individual approach in the process of transition into independence with one to one support from qualified and experience workers, who with patience and determination encourage the young people to develop themselves.
- Support and assistance to the young people in managing their every day lives, in planning ahead any expenses, attending appointments and introducing creative and productive ways of filling the young peoples free time.
- A sensitive approach and advice on health and hygiene, advising on practising safe sex and drug and alcohol misuse awareness.
- Advice on safety awareness when in and out doors, on emergency procedures in case of gas leak and fire, and first aid.

PCM is proving to be very popular with local Authorities, and is constantly receiving outstanding feed back from social workers, placing authorities and other professionals, as well as from our young people, and their families. The key to PCM success is the dedication of the Managing Director and her hard working team constantly looking for opportunities to improve that essential attachment with our clients, i.e. our Drop in Centre. Our highly motivated staff team have many years of experience in working with vulnerable teenagers.
